At Faham, we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with care. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services. By using Faham, you consent to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
During our current pre-launch phase, we collect only what we need to keep you informed:
- Waitlist details — your email address and whether you are interested in learning or teaching.
- Approximate location — the country associated with your connection, derived automatically.
- Technical data — standard log information such as IP address, browser type, and access times.
When account and payment features launch, we will collect the additional information needed to provide them, including billing details. Payment-card information is handled by third-party payment processors; we do not store full card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- to notify you about our launch and send related updates you can opt out of at any time;
- to operate, secure, and improve the Services;
- to understand demand by region and interest so we can plan our rollout; and
- to comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only with third-party service providers who process it on our behalf, and only as needed to run the Services. These include:
- cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (including Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare);
- payment processors (including Stripe), when paid features launch; and
- email delivery providers.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety. In the event of a merger or acquisition, information may be transferred to the successor entity.
4. Data Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls limited to a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, and resolve disputes. If you ask us to delete your waitlist entry or account, we will do so within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information by law.
6. Your Rights

7. Cookies
Our pre-launch website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality and security. We do not use advertising cookies at this stage. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, whose requests are subject to Google's own privacy policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for users aged 13 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws. Where we transfer information internationally, we apply appropriate safeguards consistent with this policy.
10. Your GDPR Rights (EU/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent.
